What I work with

What people come to me with

If you recognise yourself in even one of these, that is reason enough to come. You do not have to wait until it gets “bad enough”.

Anxiety and tension

Thoughts going in circles, trouble falling asleep, a body that is always on alert. We learn to catch anxiety before it picks up speed.

Burnout and exhaustion

Work has stopped giving anything back and there is no energy left even to rest. We look at where your resources drain away and how to get them back.

Relationships

Arguments that keep repeating, jealousy, the feeling of being lonely next to someone close.

Self-worth and the inner critic

The voice that is never satisfied. We trace where it came from and learn to answer it differently.

Loss and change

Moving country, separation, bereavement, war. I help you live through it and put yourself back together.

Finding yourself

You cannot tell what you want or where to go next. We restore contact with your own wishes.

About me

Who will be with you in this work

Abstract artwork with circles spreading outwards in warm tones

I am a practising psychologist. I work with adults one to one, online and in person.

My main method is cognitive behavioural therapy: it has proven effectiveness and a clear logic, so you always know why we are doing what we are doing. Where long-standing, repeating patterns are involved, I also draw on schema therapy.

I attend supervision and my own therapy regularly. This is not a formality — it is what lets me stay steady and useful in the room.

I will not tell you to “just think positive”, and I will not decide how you should live. My work is to help you see your situation more clearly and find your own footing in it.

How it works

How the work unfolds

No magic. There is a clear route, and at every step you know what is happening and why.

Testimonials

What people say afterwards

Published with clients’ consent, names changed.

I came in with anxiety, and six months later I noticed for the first time that I wake up without a knot in my chest.

Anna, 347 months of work

What mattered to me was not being rushed. For a long time I could not talk about the main thing — and that turned out to be fine.

Dmytro, 414 months of work

After the third session I realised that being angry is allowed. That was a discovery for me.

FAQ

What people usually ask before the first session

How long does therapy take?

It depends on the request. For a specific task — a fear of public speaking, say — 8 to 12 sessions is often enough. Working with long-standing, repeating patterns takes six months or more.

How is a psychologist different from a psychiatrist?

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor: they diagnose and prescribe medication. I work with conversation and do not prescribe. If I see that medication could help, I will recommend a colleague and, if you wish, keep working alongside them.

Does online work less well than in person?

For most requests the effectiveness is comparable. Online asks only one thing of you: a place where no one will disturb you for 50 minutes.

What if it is not a good fit?

That is normal, and it matters to say it out loud. The intro call is exactly where we check whether you feel comfortable with me. If you do not, I will help you find a colleague.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. Everything said stays between us. The only exception is a direct threat to life, yours or someone else’s.
